DWIPS 1250 Ticonderoga

In 1955, WIPS launched in Ticonderoga. WIPS stood for International Paper, they added an FM in the early 80s.
After years of operating, it shut down in 2010. However the tower was never dismantled.
We drove to see what was left of the tower!

Near the train station, the 200 foot tower still stands.

The base of the tower is badly overgrown. We couldn't even see a transmitter building and there was no safe way to walk in.
